Description

Blood orange maple pecan yogurt bowls make a delicious and uniquely flavored, lightly sweet breakfast for any day of the week. They're quick and easy to make, hearty and delicious to eat.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 cups plain Greek yogurt (I use 2% or whole milk)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Juice of 1/2 blood orange
  • 1-2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 blood oranges, peeled and divided into segments
  • 1/4 cup pecan pieces
  • 2 tbsp dried cranberries

Instructions

  1. Make yogurt base. In a medium bowl, whisk together yogurt, vanilla extract, juice of blood orange, and maple syrup until uniformly combined. Divide into two bowls.
  2. Peel & segment oranges. Roughly chop orange segments (I just cut eat in half or thirds, depending on size). Divide between two bowls.
  3. Top & serve. Top each bowl with pecan pieces and dried cranberries, and drizzle with more maple syrup if desired.

Notes

*Feel free to sub dairy yogurt for non-dairy yogurt, such as almond or coconut yogurt.

*Add extra toppings if desired! Granola, chia seeds, coconut flakes. Whatever you think would taste good 🙂
